Eating Distress North East
EDNE aims to help people in Tyneside, Wearside, Northumberland and County Durham whose lives are affected by eating distress, or eating disorders. We do this by providing a range of services including individual counselling, mindfulness courses, a support group for carers, health topic workshops, information and training. We also work in schools and other settings to increase knowledge and awareness of eating distress and its effects.

Edberts House
Edberts House is a vibrant community organisation based in East Gateshead. We are currently managing four projects (Edberts House, Pattinson House, our Community Linking Project and also our inter-agency project Beacon Lough East). Our vision is to make the communities within which we are based happier, healthier, friendlier places to live. The charity builds the capacity of local people across Gateshead through the provision of courses, person-centred support, community events and activities.

Ellington Colliery Band
Our organisation offers the opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to learn to play a brass or percussion instrument, to rehearse together and to play in public. Through fundraising efforts, we can offer to lend an instrument, free of charge, to our members.

We are the first Emmaus community in the North East and are based in South Shields. Our community can provide home for 15 formerly homeless people and we operate charity shops in Hebburn and Low Fell. Community, Work and Solidarity are at the core of our work and we will soon develop new and innovative social enterprises
