The role of the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector in the North East is vital, with over 6,900 organisations representing our communities and supporting our wellbeing.
We strive to remain a useful source of intelligence for the sector, keeping our members, stakeholders and partners informed and up to date on important and relevant issues.
Over the years, we’ve learned to use our networks and information forums to be aware of what’s coming and we’ve developed a responsive track record in quickly disseminating information around the things we didn’t see coming, most notably, our response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
We inform the sector about the issues impacting it through our various eBulletins, sent to more than 8,500 subscribers. Providing information, opportunities, networking, events and job listings, you can sign up to the following regular bulletins:
- VONNE news (fortnightly)
- VONNE jobs (weekly)
- Health & Wellbeing (including Thriving Communities)
"This is just super - visual, packed with information, opportunities and more."
VONNE acts as a source of knowledge for the sector. We share important news, resources and opinions in our news pages, covering all topics relevant to the North East region and the VCSE sector. The team at VONNE are passionate and knowledgeable about the work that we do, so we frequently publish blogs to share our opinions and learnings around subjects that are important to us and relevant to you.
79% of our members say VONNE is effective in raising the profile of the sector and acting as a leading voice, which we do in part through our information and intelligence sharing.
VONNE coordinates a number of health and wellbeing programmes and projects across the region, and hosts a range of networks that are free to become a member of and participate in. You can become part of the following networks by signing up today:
