Vine Cafe & Project

Our aim to help and support residents in North Tyneside areas and provide low cost affordable hot meals through our community cafe, regular community activities and information and advice for our customers. Serving predominantly older people we are often seen as a lifeline for many and help to combat periods of isolation for many.

Virgin Money Foundation

We seek to make a real and lasting difference in the places that need it most by working in partnership with organisations that are committed to regenerating their area and by investing in community activities that have a meaningful impact. The Foundation was established in 2015, and has awarded over £12million to incredible initiatives. Each grant creating positive change in a local community.

Vision for Access CIC

Vision for Access CIC is a social enterprise that champions accessibility and inclusion for people with sight loss. It provides practical support, website accessibility audits, and training and workshops to businesses, organisations, and employers to create a more inclusive society.

Vision25

Vision25 is based in Stockton-on-Tees, one the most 10% deprived areas in England, the group is a great place to be, we are young adults and our average age is about 23 years old. We all have learning disabilities and some of us have a profound and multiple learning disabilities e.g. Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism and other Chromosome Abnormalities. When we finished college at 19, there was no-where to go, we were quite isolated at home. One of our teachers Jen Addison had a brilliant idea to open a centre where we could get together, make friends, learn independent living skills and be part of the community. We started as a Saturday club and 2 years later we are open 6 days a week.
One of our aims at Vision25 is to support the group in work related learning skills. We do this by focusing on the following areas:

Voice sits within the National Innovation Centre for Ageing and Newcastle University with the aim to empower the public to have a voice in research and innovation. We want as many people as possible to join our community of volunteers who share their lived experience to make sure that change is influenced by the people who have real knowledge of the problems we're trying to solve.

Established in 1973, Voluntary and Community Action Sunderland (VCAS) is the independent Local Infrastructure organisations (LIO) for the City of Sunderland. With over 380 members covering the whole of the City, VCAS ensure that there is a strong and thriving third sector through championing and supporting the innovation and creativity in both newly formed and long established Community Groups, Charities and Social Enterprises who deliver services to individuals and communities across the Cities Five Areas – Coalfield, Washington, North, West and East.

Wag & Company North East Friendship Dogs

Wag & Company North East Friendship Dogs was established in August 2015 - and launched on 4 May 2016 - to bring friendship and the company of a dog to older dog lovers in our region. The Charity recruits, assesses, inducts and deploys volunteer befrienders and their dogs to regularly visit older people. We visit people in care and medical establishments as well as in their own homes on referral from agencies such as Age UK and Adult Social Services etc. We are the only provider of this service in people’s own homes.

Walking With in North Tyneside

Walking With in North Tyneside supports asylum seekers, refugees and others in need in North Tyneside and surrounding areas.

Walking with the Wounded

Walking With The Wounded ‘WWTW’ deliver employment, mental health, care coordination and volunteering
programmes in collaboration with the NHS to get those who served, and their families, whether mentally, socially
or physically wounded, back on their feet and making a positive contribution once more. Why? Because those
who served, deserve.

Wallsend Boys Club

Wallsend Boys Club was founded in 1904 by the employees and directors of Swan Hunters Shipyard. The club is going through a transition phase to position itself as a community asset to the young people and families of North Tyneside.
