Children in Hope aims to conduct Childhood Obesity programmes in North East.
Children in Hope also supports Charity Schools for the Deaf and LD children in Tiruvallur, South India

Our services, support and interventions are delivered to babies, children and young people and their families, from prenatal up to age 25.

Delivery includes therapeutic services, mental health support, youth work, domestic abuse support, family support, community-based initiatives, participation and consultation activities and our UK wide Poverty Proofing© initiative.

Childsplay Nursery Cooperative

Since 1982, Childsplay nursery has provided families with quality early years education and care. We're a non-profit co-operative: our focus is on providing the best environment for our children rather than generating income for shareholders, and the running of the nursery is the responsibility of our members (the parents and staff). We feel this helps us create and maintain an outstanding nursery.

We value and nurture every child individually and offer consistent support to all parents in their journey through a new experience from initial inquiry to going to school.

Choice Wellbeing Service

CWS is run by a group of equal parent carers to non-parent carers. There are four parent carers on the board of five directors. This means that all programmes that are run will be in the interest of the parent carers. CWS will also offer support parent carers earlier than any other current service known to parent carers in Sunderland.

Chopwell Regeneration CIO

The aims of Chopwell Regeneration CIO are to support and sustain the regeneration of our village in Gateshead through a range of activities focusing on a combination of small projects to meet the immediate needs and wishes of our community and long term strategic projects to improve the village and the lives and life chances of local people.

Choysez

Choysez supports disadvantaged young people aged 7-16 whose circumstances have made it difficult to cope in school, offering them an alternative environment where they can recognised awards and qualifcations and work on their personal development.

Chrysalis Club Tynedale

Chrysalis Club organises dementia friendly activities and supports family members. We are based in Hexham and also run intergenerational groups and younger people with dementia clubs.

Church and Community Partnership (CCP) in Tynedale

CCP connects churches with VCS organisations so that, together, increased levels of well-being for people in West Northumberland can be realised.

Churches Together in South Tyneside

We have four projects; HAPPY AT HOME supports lonely isolated older people providing weekly social events and visits to housebound people; NURTURING DEMENTIA provides support for people with dementia and their carers and raises awareness about the disease; REFLECTING TOGETHER is a research project investigating the experience of loneliness and isolation among older people and works with local churches and the wider community to make practical changes to improve their lives; STREET ANGELS gives practical help to people in difficulty in South Shields town centre at weekends. We are partners with many different organisations including KEY 2 LIFE FOODBANK providing food, school uniforms, holiday activities and OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD collecting toys for children overseas. We also work with South Tyneside Council, Council for Voluntary Services, Social Services, Police and many other local organisations. We are also members of the SOUTH TYNESIDE FAITHS TOGETHER building relationships across the faith communities. Occasionally we host community events to discuss current issues.

We offer confidential advice online, over the phone, and in person, for free.

Citizens Advice Darlington Redcar and Cleveland is an independent local charity, run by local people for the benefit of local people. It is also a member of Citizens Advice, the national umbrella body that provides support to local offices. Within the past five years, the number of enquiries has increased, from around 10,000 to just fewer than 30,000 per annum. The largest category of enquiry has alternated between Welfare Benefits and Debt Advice.

The need to provide specialist advice in complex cases and to offer outreach services means that it must employ paid workers in addition to a significant number of dedicated volunteers. Volunteers are trained in a variety of different roles within the service including.

Citizens Advice Hartlepool gives advice and helps solve problems, including debt and consumer issues, benefits, housing, employment, and immigration. Advisers can help fill out forms, write letters, negotiate with creditors and give advice before a DWP tribunal.
