What Exactly Does a Trustee Do?

The role of a Trustee is all about strategic direction and oversight. You will:

  • Set the Vision: Help determine the charity’s long-term goals and strategic direction.
  • Ensure Accountability: Oversee the organisation’s finances, ensure it complies with the law, and manages risks effectively.
  • Champion the Mission: Act as an ambassador, using your networks and voice to advocate for our work.

It’s a rewarding way to build board experience, develop high-level strategic skills, and give back in a structured, impactful way.

The Board generally meets on evenings every 8 weeks, both online and face to face in Darlington, and a Trustee could expect to commit around 2- 4 hours a month to RSACC.
