Daisy Chain supports more than 8,500 autistic and neurodivergent people and families across the North. and we’re growing fast.

As we expand our services, partnerships and national influence, we’re looking for a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to support our digital presence, strengthen our brand, and help us tell the real stories that drive understanding and change.

KEY TASKS

This is a creative, strategic and hands-on role.

Digital content and social media

You’ll create high-impact content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and X — building a digital ecosystem that is:

  • bold
  • human
  • authentic
  • visually compelling
  • grounded in lived experience

Blogs, interviews & live sessions

You will create:

  • powerful blog articles
  • interviews with autistic adults, families, staff, practitioners and partners
  • live sessions (Q&As, myth-busting, awareness talks, service spotlights)
  • panel-style conversations with experts and lived-experience advocates

Campaigns and change-making

You’ll help shape Daisy Chain’s voice on:

  • inclusion
  • equality
  • mental health
  • education
  • employment
  • accessibility
  • everyday barriers faced by neurodivergent people

You’ll work closely with programme teams to produce compelling, positive and sometimes
challenging content that reflects real-life experiences.

Creative production

You’ll create:

  • Reels and short-form video
  • Photography and branded visuals
  • Story-driven digital assets
  • Impact stories
  • Service features and case studies

Partnerships & engagement

Collaborating with:

  • university partners
  • volunteers
  • external agenciesmedia outlets
  • internal teams across the charity

You’ll help build a wider community of people who want to elevate and champion
neurodiversity.

Brand development

You’ll continue to evolve and protect the Daisy Chain brand, ensuring consistency, accessibility and a strong, inclusive visual identity.

Building internal confidence

You’ll support teams to:

  • understand our tone of voice
  • contribute stories safely and confidently
  • capture content
  • champion Daisy Chain’s mission

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Comply with the Charities’ Health and Safety policy in all employment practices.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Daisy Chain brand in all internal and external communications.
  • Work in ways, which promote equality of opportunity, participation and responsibility.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to your role and responsibilities along with a commitment to contribute and maintain the positive working ethos within the Charity
  • Ensure attendance at staff meetings.
  • Undertake any training and development deemed necessary for the pursuance of the post.
  • Work in a way that contributes to the continuous improvement of the Charity’s services and embraces the organisations quality initiatives.
  • Any other duties from time to time, commensurate with the level of the post.

  • Able to create content that is emotionally powerful, visually strong and authentic
  • Organised, proactive and strategic
  • Experienced in delivering campaigns and growing online engagement
  • Proud of northern identity and community values
  • Ready to help Daisy Chain become a national voice for neurodiversity

Observable requirements:

  • Writes clearly for different audiences and channels.
  • Plans and schedules content using a content calendar.
  • Works collaboratively with colleagues and partners.
  • Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Use basic analytics/insights to improve content/

Lived experience of neurodiversity, personal, familial or professional and is warmly welcomed.
