Overview:

This exciting post will support the YouthPrint network including youth voice projects and play a pivotal role in developing new initiatives across County Durham. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with Young People and supporting them to have their voice heard on key issues that matter to them and be willing to complete a programme of study at level 3 which is relevant to the role.

Job Description:

  • Support and deliver Youth Work in line with the aims and objectives of County Durham YouthPrint.
  • Support the planning of a range of different high-quality work with young people, specifically around the voice of young people.
  • Support the delivery of high-quality face to face work with young people using a range of fun and educational engagement methods.
  • Encourage and support young people to take on active role within their neighbourhoods and beyond with support from colleagues.
  • Support the implementation of a range of informal research and consultation methods to highlight the actual experiences and/or needs of young people.
  • To build dynamic partnerships across organisations and networks who are responsive to the emerging needs of young people.
  • To advocate and amplify the diverse voices and needs of young people, influencing policy, resourcing and delivery.
  • Manage time and resources effectively.
  • Ensure safeguarding of all young people involved in programmes.
  • Maintain effective relationships with key individuals within the venues where work takes place.
  • Work to conditions set out by partner organisations where services are delivered.
  • Attend training, supervision, meetings and network forums as directed.
  • Promote the work of the organisation, County Durham YouthPrint and NEYA with other professionals and members of the public, as and when appropriate.
  • Carry out duties in line with the organisation’s Policies, Procedures and Code of Conduct.
  • Any other reasonable duties as identified by the YouthPrint Strategic Coordinator and appropriate to the level and grading of the post.
