community they know and love.

As a Shared Lives Carer, you'll open your home and share everyday life with someone

who needs support. In return, you'll earn a regular income, build meaningful

relationships, and help someone gain confidence, independence and live a life without

limits.

Ways to get involved

Support someone who lives with you as part of your household.

  • Earn up to £31,000 per year tax-free*
  • Paid fortnightly
  • Work from home
  • Most carers start by supporting one person

Provide weekend or short break support in your home

  • Earn up to £340 tax-free per weekend
  • Flexible around work and existing commitments
  • Support can be provided when it suits you

*£31,000 tax-free is equivalent to approximately £38,000 in a traditional salaried role.
