A new ‘Levelling up’ fund worth £4bn has been announced as part of the Government's Spending Review this week, but bodies representing the VCSE sector, including the National Council for the Voluntary Sector (NCVO) said the failure to focus more on social infrastructure and recognise the financial hardship the sector is facing will be seen by many as a missed opportunity.
