We want to thank everyone for attending our event: Understanding the Social Prescribing Landscape and Building Collaboration at Health System and Local Level on September 21st, 2022. The event brought together the VCFSE, health and care sectors, regional social prescribing leads and link workers from across the North East, North Cumbria and Yorkshire to gain a greater understanding and discussion around our regional social prescribing ecosystem.

The event enabled attendees to increase collective understanding of social prescribing and the context in which it is being applied within the NHS, raised awareness of the requirements of Primary Care Networks and NHS leads around social prescribing and collaborative working. It also provided information on networks and learning and development opportunities to support stakeholder collaboration in the North East and Yorkshire. Finally, there was opportunity to break out into smaller groups and explore what opportunities and challenges there are locally.

There was a great scope of projects, networks and needs discussed by the more than 90 attendees from the region. And, the area specific breakout rooms allowed delegates to discuss more localised developments.

Your comments and jam board posts will be utilised to provide more relevant support, opportunities and advice to our Thriving Communities Network to help progress collaboration across the social prescribing landscape in the North East and Yorkshire.

Thank you to our speakers and facilitators: David Cowan, Gary Sainty, Mark Hopley, Karen Smith, Arfan Hussain and Anne-Marie Morrison.
