Representatives from the voluntary sector and other stakeholders from across the North East are being invited to join a national conversation about how English civil society can flourish in a fast changing world.
Delegates to VONNE’s Annual Conference, taking place at CastleGate in Newcastle on 30 November, will be encouraged to take part in a Civil Society Futures Conversation. The Conversation invites communities of interest, practice or geography to come together to share their hopes and fears for the future and co-develop visions for what civil society might look like ten years from now.
Julia Unwin CBE, Chair of the Inquiry into Civil Society Futures, will be presenting the conference keynote and policy think tank IPPR North will be launching their report ‘Civil Society Support in the North’ at the VONNE conference.

“This is an opportunity for the voluntary sector in the north east to deliver key messages directly into this national inquiry and ensure the sector and the specific challenges we face are recognised and that we influence the final recommendations.”
