The interim report of the first year findings from the Civil Society Futures Inquiry has been published, exploring facets of this question: what should civil society’s priority be over the next 10 years? The findings point to giving people and communities more power over their lives – which is an easy thing to say and a hard thing to do.
The Inquiry has heard from over 1,500 people all over the country from Penzance to Newcastle. In 2017 VONNE held a Civil Society Futures Conversation for the VCSE sector in the North East at our annual conference. Read our round up blog of the event.
The Inquiry has created an array of different materials to explore this more. From a short animation that explores some of the frustrations and identifies the big changes needed, to a summary document, as well as a longer research report digging into the details. Informed by your input we’ve also mapped the driving forces shaping the future of civil society.
