VONNE and Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) are bringing VCSE organisations together for the first Tees Valley VCSE Assembly – an opportunity to help shape a stronger, more structured relationship between the sector and the Combined Authority.

The Assembly will be the starting point for an ongoing partnership, creating clearer routes for VCSE organisations to influence regional priorities, contribute their expertise and work alongside TVCA to turn shared ambitions into action.

Understanding, valuing and promoting the VCSE sector

The first Assembly will focus on understanding, valuing and promoting the VCSE sector, and on moving from conversations about partnership to agreeing how we can work together in practice.

You'll hear more about the wider picture in Tees Valley, including the Local Growth Plan, devolution and changes to the way public services are designed and delivered. Crucially, there will be space to explore what these developments mean for VCSE organisations and where our sector can make a difference.

Through discussion and roundtables, you'll have the opportunity to help shape a proposed new way of working between TVCA and the VCSE sector. We want to hear what would enable organisations to participate meaningfully, how communication and engagement could improve, and which issues should be priorities for future joint work.

Why attend?

If you're a VCSE organisation working anywhere in Tees Valley, this is an opportunity to have a say at the beginning of the process, and to help shape a working relationship between TVCA and the VCSE sector that is effective and impactful for all.

We particularly want the Assembly to reflect the diversity of our sector – organisations of different sizes, working in different communities and places, with different areas of expertise. Your experience, evidence and local knowledge can help shape a relationship that works for the whole VCSE sector.

Come along, contribute your perspective and help shape how the Tees Valley VCSE sector and TVCA work together over the next 12 months and beyond.
