Local Trust Knowledge Programme reflections and what comes next for grassroots funding in the North East

Events Icon
Join us for the final session in our Local Trust North East Knowledge Programme, where we will reflect on the key learnings from the Big Local programme and how these lessons can shape the future of grassroots funding.

Join us in person for this event bringing together key learnings from Local Trust's Big Local programme and exploring what they mean for the future of grassroots, place-based funding in the North East.

We’ll share key takeaways from the North East Knowledge Programme, including: what made Big Local different; inclusion, representation and participation in community-led work; getting started with decision-making and managing conflict; collaboration and partnership working; and long-term support versus short-term funding cycles.

We’ll then pause and reflect on what nearly a decade of community-led funding taught Local Trust and start a shared conversation about how these lessons can shape the next phase of grassroots funding in the region including practical next steps: what smaller funders and partners want to explore further, where support or collaboration could help, and how this network can keep learning together beyond the programme's end.

Who it's for: Funders, infrastructure organisations, community partnerships and anyone interested in place-based, community-led funding across the North East.

Refreshments will be provided.
