North East and North Cumbria Child Health and Wellbeing Network – getting engagement right to design and deliver better outcomes for our children and young people (up to 18 years).
The Child Health and Wellbeing Steering Group's key objective is to achieve meaningful and realistic plans for engagement across the North East and North Cumbria to effectively design and deliver improved outcomes for our children. This work aims to include colleagues from local authorities, education, physical and mental health, voluntary sector organisations, community and faith groups and all other organisations involved with children’s services.
The steering group is part of a small, but growing piece of work in the North East and Cumbria that plans to make a real difference to children’s services. Our evolving hypothesis is:
- We believe all children in the North East and North Cumbria (NENC) should be given the opportunity to truly reach their potential and be advantaged not disadvantaged by geography and organisational structures.
- If we plan, design and deliver improvements in health and social services for children together with all key stakeholders then we can achieve services that are equitable, of high quality with best value, that are sustainable for the population of North East and North Cumbria.
We are starting a change programme in February 2019 and we want to gather your views and those from all sectors involved with children and young people from the short survey below.
