Salary: £29,064 FTE (pro rata’d for part time hours)
12-month maternity cover

Are you an organised, proactive administrator with excellent attention to detail? Do you enjoy variety, from supporting finance processes to helping keep a busy office running smoothly?

Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland (RCTN) is looking for a Finance & Office Administrator to join our friendly and supportive team during a period of maternity leave.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll be the welcoming face of our Newcastle office, support our Finance Manager with day-to-day financial administration, coordinate office systems and supplies, liaise with contractors and IT providers, and help ensure our staff and volunteers have everything they need to deliver life-changing services to survivors of sexual violence.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has previous administration experience in a busy office environment.
  • Is confident handling financial administration and maintaining accurate records.
  • Has excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Is comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new systems.
  • Can communicate sensitively and professionally with people accessing our services.
  • Works well independently while also being a supportive team member.

Previous experience of Xero or similar finance software would be an advantage but training will be provided.

What we offer

  • Flexible working pattern between 22 and 28 hours per week.
  • A supportive, values-led team.
  • Comprehensive induction and ongoing training.
  • Opportunities to develop new skills.
  • The chance to contribute to an organisation making a real difference to survivors across Tyneside and Northumberland.

This role is based primarily at our Newcastle city centre office and requires regular office attendance.

If you're looking for a varied administration role where your work has real purpose, we'd love to hear from you.
