 Job Summary:

 Groundwork South and North Tyneside has been Changing Places and Changing Lives for over 30 years through a variety of environmental, learning, health and skills programmes: SOUTH & NORTH TYNESIDE – Groundwork

Our mission is to mobilise practical community action on poverty and the environment. This is a new and exciting role in the Business Development team at Groundwork and subsidiary charity TEN North East (TENNE).

The successful post holder will be a motivated and experienced individual with sound business acumen to further develop our operational programmes. The post holder will support essential business development activity and in the preparation and submission of a range of funding opportunities including bids, tenders, grants and proposals. The post holder will be required top monitor and disseminate opportunities internally, report on the Trust’s success through impact monitoring and work with colleagues across the Trust to ensure press and social media presence, raising the profile of Groundwork across communities and with funders, partners and stakeholders.

The post holder will support development and delivery of our annual marketing and communications plan to help achieve our ambitious targets and reach out to new and existing audiences. Providing marking support across a number of projects the role varies, amongst our priorities include attracting visitors to Jarrow Hall Anglo-Saxon Farm Village and Bede Museum, promoting our education offer to local schools, raising awareness of our Young Carers Respite Service and positioning Groundwork with central policy pieces produced by the Groundwork Federation.
