ChronicleLive and The Journal have published the latest edition of their Most Influential People list, sponsored by Different Narrative.
The list is published annually and features people in the North East who ChronicleLive and The Journal think are ‘making a real difference to the life of the region as we emerge from the pandemic and try to rebuild our economy.’
Drawn together from a panel of experts the list includes figures from business, politics and local government alongside other sectors like sport, food and drink, charities and religion.
With just over 200 people chosen this year, we’re thrilled that our very own CEO, Carol Botten is included for her contribution to the charity and community sectors and hard work in helping to make the North East a better place in which to live and work.
Huge praise also goes to Amanda Bailey, Director of the North East Child Poverty Commission who has become a prominent voice in the cost-of-living debate and to Steph Edusei for her contribution to the health and charity sectors. After an NHS career stretching nearly 25 years, Steph became chief executive of St Oswald’s Hospice in Newcastle in 2020. She is also a non-executive director of Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
