VONNE is ideally placed to provide charity development coordination and engagement services on behalf of the Mea Trust, for the benefit of Mea House organisations and the wider sector.
We're building a sense of community between organisations based within Mea House by consulting with the Mea House community, and the wider VCSE sector to seek their ideas and input into potential charity coordination and development activities at Mea House.

Working in partnership, we consolidate ideas and develop a programme of initiatives, activities and events which can support both the Mea House community and the wider VCSE sector. Joint training events include First Aid Training and an Introduction to British Sign Language. There are also regular opportunities for organisations to meet up at monthly ‘cuppa and chat’ events. The Mea House community came together for the ‘Mea House Defib Appeal’ and raised funds to have an Automated External Defibrillator sited outside the building.

Communicating with the Mea House community by producing and distributing a monthly newsletter with information about organisations within the building, training opportunities and grant funding information. The Mea House social media platforms include Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and posts are relevant and regularly updated.
Working alongside Naylors Gavin Black and the Mea Trust to develop a robust concept for the repurposing of the MEA House building for flexible working, and to successfully position it as a hub for the VCSE sector in the North East.
There are a variety of meeting spaces available at Mea House, which is a Newcastle city centre venue, available at below market cost for VCSE organisations. Non voluntary sector organisations are also able to hire these spaces at a very competitive rate.
