Women’s Workshop – more than just a space

A great opportunity to maintain and shape the future of this unique women-led and women-run organisation

The post is for 24 hours a week, fixed term for 1 year. Pay is pro rata of £30,507 FTE (actual £20,338)

Based in Amble with some home working

Could you:

  • Bring your passion, creativity and initiative to this role working with and for local women
  • Promote and develop our practice of holistic support, project work and campaigning in the context of a women-led, women-run organisation
  • Lead a dynamic team of support and sessional workers, tutors, admin staff and volunteers
  • Draw on resources available locally through mainstream services, partner organisations and external funding to design and deliver a programme of small group workshops and activities that promote awareness, encourage women’s well-being, and support their progress.
  • Work with women to develop our user-led projects based around their priorities - environment, violence and coercive control, active well-being, employment and enterprise.
  • Oversee and market our learning programme focussed on people, digital and eco-skills.
  • Liaise and network with a wide range of other projects to get the best outcomes for and with women participants, and to tackle gender inequalities.
  • Contribute to the sustainability of the Women’s Workshop
