We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual with a passion for IT and passing on your knowledge and skills to people who otherwise would not get the opportunity to learn in a nurturing environment, or who have forgotten the skills they learnt through their education and need help to tap back into lost abilities.
First Stop is a local charity that provide compassionate and empathic support to people in need in our town. We do this through applying an ethos of equality and an open and welcoming environment for those who need us. Our passion is in problem solving and providing options for the people in our service to find a better life as they move forward.
We have gained funding to provide a Digital Inclusion Programme over the next 12 months and we are excited to find the right person to fill the post. You will be required to provide support both in small groups and with individuals, in our centre and across the Borough. The programme is designed to support people to move closer to employment by providing appropriate courses and skills to meet general requirements in most job applications.
If you: -
- are self-motivated and enjoy equally working alone or within a team
- can competently and confidently share your skills with people who may have diverse needs or struggle with anxiety in a non-judgmental way.
- have the passion, energy, and empathy to join our team in achieving our vision
we want to hear from you
