£18,991 per annum (pro rata) (pay award pending)

The Role 

An excellent opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and dedicated Health Promotion Practitioner to work within the Health Promotion Team promoting the wellbeing of the community, encourage healthy lifestyles and to promote the uptake of children and family services within Newcastle. 

You will;  

  • Provide information, advice and guidance about childhood and family services in venues throughout the area  

  • Sign post families to the wider Family Partner offer within the area where appropriate 

  • Support volunteer involvement, particular encouraging parents to engage with the local activities to enable them to have their say in how services are shaped and delivered. 

  • Provide relevant sessions using group work skills to encourage people to gain confidence, increase self-esteem and develop their skills 

  • Contribute to and support the programme of children and young people activities across the city 

About You 

You will be an enthusiastic individual, motivated to use your skills to make a real difference for our clients and families.  You will be passionate about supporting the rights and needs for children and their families / carers.
