Children North East is a large North East based children’s charity that works across the region, with some work extending across England, Wales and Scotland. We exist because growing up can be hard. We want all babies, children and young people to be happy and healthy, and to grow up feeling safe and loved, resilient to the challenges they may face, and valued and confident.
We have a vacancy within our Families & Parenting Service for a Family Crisis Worker to work with families referred to us for a bespoke intervention. These families are often in crisis and require intensive work in order to keep them together. Referrals come from various local authorities often court directed. We work closely with children’s social care to manage risk. The successful candidate will work with the Team Manager in the planning, delivery, recording, monitoring and evaluation of service activities in line with Children North East’s policy, service procedures and legal requirements. The role will see the successful candidate supporting families across the North East, offering holistic intensive support using a strengths based, solution focused approach. The children and young people remain at the centre of our work throughout and we support families to identify achievable solutions to create positive change.
