Could you lead Tees Valley YMCA as a key provider of housing and youth services for young people?

Tees Valley YMCA is a key provider of supported accommodation and youth work. Based in Darlington, and working across some areas of Tees Valley, we have been working to empower young people to have positive futures through housing related support, youth work, training and prevention services since 1993.

The CEO role is crucial to leading this exciting and forward-thinking organisation into its next stage of development. We are looking for a highly skilled, motivated, creative and dynamic leader with exceptional leadership qualities, who is passionate about making a significant difference to the lives of young people.

The Board delegates responsibility for management, and day-to-day operations, to the CEO in accordance with the direction and policies established by the Board. The CEO provides direction and enabling to the Board as it carries out its governance functions.

You will lead a talented team focused on getting the best possible outcomes for young people. You will be relationship builder and cross sector partnership broker with key stakeholders including young people, funders, commissioners, strategic partners and fellow providers ensuring the sustainability of Tees Valley YMCA. 

As our CEO, you will have a proven track record of strategic leadership, senior management experience and knowledge of the charitable sector. In addition, you will have significant experience of working in settings supporting young people through both housing and youth work.

You will also have significant business and social enterprise acumen in order to develop the charity and to maximise new opportunities for income generation and delivery. It is also important that you have excellent communication skills, the ability to inspire a team to work efficiently, a good working knowledge of financial systems, as well as delivery of change management.
