Join NAVCA and the Open University Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership for a workshop on stepping into leadership in an LIO.

This event is intended for new and emerging leaders in Local Infrastructure Organisations (LIOs).

Session aims:

  • To explore the challenges and complexities of leadership in LIOs, particularly in the current COVID context.
  • To introduce a way of understanding the tensions of leadership, including when working across organisations and in wider networks.
  • To give those new to leadership a space to share experiences and learning.

By the end of the workshop, you will have:

  • Reflected on the complexities of leading in and through LIOs.
  • Identified different spaces in which leadership takes place, including networks and collaborations.
  • An understanding of the idea of leadership tensions.
  • The ability to identify and apply the idea of leadership tensions within your own context.
  • Had the opportunity to develop your peer support network.
  • The knowledge to take leadership learning forward for yourself and your organisation.

This session will take place on Zoom. More information about the platform’s accessibility features can be found on its website.
