Data Protection in 2026: Understanding what GDPR & recent changes mean for you

Organisations have a responsibility to comply with Data Protection law by ensuring that staff understand the rules with regards to safeguarding personal data. With recent legal changes, plus the increased use and availability of Artificial Intelligence (AI), this is more relevant than ever.

Protecting the privacy of our beneficiaries, volunteers, staff and stakeholders is paramount, and staying informed helps ensure data is handled responsibly and breaches can be prevented.

This training will cover:

Recent updates to data protection law and your key responsibilities
Concerns relating to the use of AI and measures to remain compliant
Top tips to help you comply with GDPR & data protection law, including managing data breaches
Insights to help us understand privacy laws surrounding direct marketing and electronic communications, and how to communicate with people effectively in this landscape.

The workshop is delivered by:

Kerry Peach - Data Protection Manager at Home Group. Kerry has a wealth of experience advising organisations across various sectors on data protection and data compliance issues.

Andy Crawley - Brand And Campaign Manager at Home Group.  Andy has over 24 years of experience in graphic design and brand management.
